Thesis: ‘Making Space for Grief’

My thesis project at The Royal Danish Academy was based on my own personal experiences with grief. As I lost several close family members within a short period of time in 2021, I experienced firsthand the significant lack of facilities and services available to individuals affected by grief. This led to a thorough examination of our existing grief support system in Denmark, followed by the design of a new grief center in Copenhagen - with a new strategy for how we approach grief in the future.

The grief center is located at Prøvestenen and primarily caters to young people aged 16-30. The following is a brief excerpt from the exam presentation.
